Our New Home

Elise and I are moving. She got a really great opportunity to move into a historic house and live as an Artist in Residence. It just so happens that there is a second bedroom and the county was like, "You have a roommate who is an artist, as well? Oh, bring him along!" So, we'll be moving out of our apartment during the month of August and we'll officially have a new home in September. I call it the "Clue Mansion".

Oh! Artist in Residence = no rent. Just utilities. Zing!

There is a water well. My life's dream of being a country bumpkin is about to come true!

A mini-garden!

A doghouse for Gus. I'll make him stay outside in the rain!

A fence for the horses?

By the way, Jacob's cabin is located in our backyard.

We have a field to frolic in...

The side of the house.

We were told that the extended porch is for live bands.

The front of the house.

A meditation stump.

The house came with a bird feeder!!!

This bush is thorny!

The are the kind of light fixtures you can expect to find around the house.

Obligatory artsy photo.

We have one cool stump in our backyard!

The hallway.

What will be our dining room.

Downstairs Room #1. (Note: Every room in this house has a fireplace.)

We have a legit secret passage in our house. This is a hidden staircase that leads to a closet on the second floor.

Every room downstairs has a mini-Harry Potter closet.

The library.

This is that secret passage...

Hallway.

This is the ceiling for Downstairs Room #3.

Going up the stairs to the second floor.

This will be my bedroom. Apparently there is still an antique bed there. I won't be using it because that's gross.

The fireplace in my room.

Elise's room.

Bathroom #2 looks like it comes from a suite at a fancy hotel.

Our classy tub.

We have a computer nook...in our bathroom. Why?!!!

The ballroom.

Bathroom #3.

The kitchen. All appliances included.

The laundry room. Score!

Apparently, when we live here, we will own the majority of Locust Grove.

We found this in a closet. We'll probably sell them.

The glass for the windows is historic blown glass. If we break a window, it's REALLY expensive to replace.

Chimney twins!

And last, but not least, we have a pomegranate tree by our house! So adorable!!!

We really lucked out with this one. Everyone is welcome to drop by, I think we're working on a HUGE housewarming gathering. The BEST part about this house: NO NEIGHBORS! It's just us.

Much love,
Jono

Can we have a masquerade ball in your ballroom? I feel like it's a requirement. If I had a ballroom...I would have little balls all of the time. How very Victorian of you.
